dryfit A 200 / A 300
Universal in use, tried and tested over the years.
The batteries in the Sonnenschein dryfit A 200 /
A 300 range are compact, versatile and can be used in a wide variety
of applications. Both ranges consist of sealed, rechargeable lead-acid
batteries in which the normally liquid electrolyte is held retained
in gel form. This means that dryfit batteries are completely maintenance-free
and are particularly economical in use. Savings of up to 30% are
achieved in comparison to conventional batteries using liquid electrolyte
due to the elimination of maintenance costs. Elaborate, separate
battery charging rooms with their associated equipment are no longer
needed. In fact dryfit A 200 / A 300 batteries can even be charged
in living accommodation. Power, economy and easy handling are not
the only salient features, since the batteries are extremely low
gassing and very rugged with a long service life. Short recharging
times round off their low self-discharge, they are ready for operation
without further recharging even after lengthy storage periods of
up to two years.
dryfit is an extremely environmentally friendly
battery system. Right at the start of the battery development stage
consideration is given to the environment with the choice of environmentally
compatible alloys and other materials. Production takes place with
modern facilities and environment protection engineering. Sonnenschein
guarantees acceptance and proper disposal at the end of the battery's
service life.
Lead and plastics are recycled and fed back into
the production process.
dryfit A 200 / A 300 batteries fulfil the highest
demands with regard to service life in continuous battery power
supply mode and for endurance in the cyclic mode (A 200). They can
be employed in a multitude of applications:
- Telecoms
- UPS systems
- Alarm signalling
- Medical (infusion devices for intensive wards and for drip-feeding
premature babies)
- Remote control engineering
- Model boats, aircraft, etc.
dryfit A 200 batteries are also especially suitable
for use in electrically operated wheel-chairs, golf-caddies and
other cyclic applications.
Sonnenschein dryfit A 200 / A 300 batteries are
available in a finely graduated power range with capacities ranging
from 1-200 Ah.

dryfit A 500
When security of the power supply is the primary factor.
Today, electrical power is indispensable and we
daily depend on a continuous supply in all aspects of our life.
An uninterruptible power supply is particularly important where
life and health depend on electrically powered equipment. We only
have to think of emergency lighting, escape route indicators and
smoke detectors in, for example, hotels, banks, leisure centres,
cultural facilities, hospitals and underground car parks. But also
telephone systems for maintaining crucial communications, technical
equipment for guaranteeing clinical supplies or emergency telephones
on motorways.
Furthermore a continuous power supply is needed
for the operation of alarm signalling systems for protecting objects.
Irrespective of whether this involves the supervision of entry areas,
bank premises, cash dispensers, doors, windows or value exhibits
in museums - everything depends on a continuous power supply. But
it should not be forgotten that a continual power supply is also
indispensable where a power failure may cause severe commercial
losses, for example in refrigerated warehouses, transmitter systems
or electrical plant.
In order to ensure that the power supply is guaranteed
at all times, essential facilities are backed up with high performances
battery systems. Sudden breaks in the power supply are then no longer
a problem. If the power suddenly fails, battery systems take over
the emergency supply of power or start up diesel-powered generators.

dryfit A 600 OPzV
Long life safe energy for stationary applications from 200 to 3000
Ah.
Valve Regulated Lead Acid (VRLA) batteries with
dryfit technology. The electrolyte is held in a gel guaranteeing
optimum reliability for all applications.
dryfit A 600 OPzV batteries are distinguished by
their exceptionally long service life and cost-effectiveness use.
They are also ideally suited to cyclic applications.
Applications
dryfit A 600 OPzV batteries are designed for applications
in various fields: telecommunications, power generation and distribution,
remote control, traffic systems, emergency power supplies, data
systems and emergency lighting.
Technical Advantages
- In conformance with DIN 40742
- Maintenance free during the whole lifetime
- Designed for 15 years and over of service lifetime at an ambient
temperature of 20C (with 80% residual capacity). Eurobat classification:
High Integrity
- dryfit technology: the electrolyte is held in a gel - no leaking
can occur during service life
- Tubular plates in single cells
- Short recharge time
- Housing material SAN classified as UL94-HB. Also available upon
request in ABS classified as UL94 V0
- Not restricted for air, rail and road transportation (in accordance
to IATA)
- Very low gas emission due to internal recombination
- Very low self-discharge rate: batteries can be stored up to 2
years at 20C
- Can withstand deep discharges
- Capacity range from 200 - 3000 Ah
- Installation regulations given in the operating manual must be
followed
- Recycling: lead acid batteries can be recycled. By agreement Sonnenschein
will accept your old dryfit A 600 OPzV batteries at the end of their
service life for recycling
- Economical: excellent performance/price ratio and very low service
costs

dryfit traction Block
Absolutely maintenance-free traction batteries for small electric
vehicles
The dryfit traction Block is made up of grid plates
of a special antimony-free special alloy and separated using high-quality,
microporous and specially insulated plastic separators.
The plates are arranged by polarity and connected
to one another by connecting straps.
The individual plates are - depending on the required
voltage - connected by intercell connectors inside the monoblock
housing. The plates are installed in resistant and easily transported
monoblock containers made of polypropylene.
Technical Advantages
- maintenance-free - for the entire service life,
i.e. at least 700 cycles according to DIN
- non-sensitive - to occasional deep discharges
- economical - cost saving up to 70% over the service life; also:
no maintenance activity and no material costs for clear water
- reliable and long-lived - because maintenance errors are impossible
and electrolyte contamination cannot occur
- extremely low gassing
- no acid leakage - so no corrosion at the connectors or terminal
connections and on vehicles
- no readjustment of charging units necessary
- full charge automatically assured even after years of operation
- no restrictions on how the battery is arranged in the vehicle,
since maintenance is not required
- interim charges possible at any time
- very low self-discharge (only 35% of the rated capacity after
12 months in storage at 20C), so Sonnenschein dryfit traction batteries
can be put into service at once even after lengthy transportation
and storage time
- easy transportation: Sonnenschein dryfit traction batteries can
be transported ready for use even when filled and charged, by sea
or air freight
- extremely high vibration resistance - gelled electrolyte means
mechanical solidification of active material particles
