John Mason (Batteries) Ltd. is a company based in Central Scotland specialising in the supply of quality battery products, battery chargers and switchgear.

John Mason has over 30 years experience of lead-acid battery manufacture and supply. The product range is extensive and includes the following technologies. Absorptive Glass Mat (AGM), Sonnenschein Dry Fit (Gel) and Flooded Cell types in the lead-acid range. Together with pocket, sintered plate and fibre cell types in the nickel cadmium range.

The company's main areas of activity are the supply of engine start batteries for diesel generators up to 2,500 KVA, the testing and supply of batteries for marine applications including the Ministry of Defence (UK) refit programmes. Other applications include: automotive, commercial vehicle, classic & vintage cars, electric vehicles, emergency lighting, floor sweepers and scrubbers, golf caddies, locomotive, solar, U.P.S., wind generation & stationary.

In addition to the supply of quality batteries, the company is able to offer free advice on battery selection to project engineers and marine consultants. Special "one off" battery chargers are available which can be made to suit any client requirements onshore or offshore.

A range of battery isolator switches to suit hazardous environments (zone 1 ATEX approved equipment) is available to order.
